@KatelynJamie - Wow, he used that "astronaut / telephone voice" effect that is so prevalent on today's pop records + a vocoder effect on Starting Over
Lennon was so revolutionary and opened to new sounds. It is such a shame that he was just right around the corner to that whole New Wave movement. I often wondered what a Beatles Album would have sounded like, once new wave took off...I'm sure that they would have gotten back together JUST to make an album utilizing that whole sound and feel.
