Here a short description of my DIY ride bell made from a 6 in practice pad. sorry if I seem at a loss of words or stuttering, I put this together as a last minute thing and tried to do it quick.

There is a part where I say "it is big" and what I meant by that was the threads on the bottom of the pad are big and only fit to the threads of the stock cymbal mounting arm.

  • Nice fly - do you find the cased piezos are sensitive enough?I'm gonna try this anyway!

  • ya for certain applications I'm finding that keeping the piezo in its housing is more sensitive. Like here for this application or when I need to replace a sensor on one of my cymbals.
