The NCAA champion Jayhawks arrived back on their home turf of Kansas on Tuesday afternoon to a large crowd of screaming fans.
The Jayhawks defeated Memphis 75-68 in overtime Monday night in San Antonio.
This is Kansas' first NCAA title in 20 years.
KU canceled classes Tuesday to celebrate the team's victory.
About 2,000 fans greeted the KU players at Forbes Field in Topeka. The crowd heard from Coach Bill Self and saw the championship trophy.
Thousands of screaming fans also went to Memorial Stadium for a pep rally. Gov. Kathleen Sebelius spoke to the crowd, in addition to Self and several of the players.
