2007-08 (Freshman): Set personal bests during the 2008 indoor and outdoor season in the pole vault...Indoor: Took first place at the TSU Indoor Invitational on Feb. 2, with a vault of 14'05.5 and earned All-OVC honors at the Indoor Championships with a third-place-winning vault of 13'06"...Outdoor: Place in the top three in two of three competitions he competed in...took fifth place at the Alabama Relays and third at the Gem of the Hills Invite...notched a personal record of 14'06, earning third place and All-OVC honors at the Outdoor Championships.

  • You've got a nice take off, but it seems you can't catch up to the pole when you swing. Maybe try using a spirit, they recoil later and you can get a much better push off the top end.

  • The pole is already unbending before you're inverted, that's why you're in a v position. That's why your'e not going to jump any higher. If you have a good take-off and a good knee drive (which you do) then you should use a spirit. Carbon poles are really only good for double leg swingers.
