Why are they so expensive if the manufacture sounds so simple? Is this market economics or what? I've heard some of the materials are really are really rare. Silicone obviously isn't...

@atommachine photovoltaic panels generate elctricity from every source of light, of course, it works most efficient in direct sunlight pointed at the right angle, but don't say that little clouds renders PV panels useless, do some research.

And if you don't agree with that statement then look at leonardo and his machine gun that he drew up during the renaissance era.
