Of course I know this beautiful song from Sergio Mendez's Brasiliero. Thanks so much for posting this. Now I have no excuse not to learn it!

I don't know this music too, but I suspect, being from Guinga, it may showcase some unusual rhythm cells.

beautiful voicings and voice leading,. what is the name of this song?

@lindseyblair It's called "Chorado" from the portuguese verb "chorar" (Eng. "cry"). The term here corresponds to a sort Brazilian folk (?)musical composition, probably with lots of feeling.

A friend showed me this song once and I got stonished by the chords and Guinga's singing also. I tried hard to get the chords from the cd and finally gave up. With this clip i know them all now and can sing it along. Thanks a lot lawnelson!!

This is really beautiful, your playing has real feeling - that is not so common at all. I don't know this piece very well but I you count in double time maybe - the brazillian bossa samba feel generally has a two step feel across 8 sixteenth's, is this helpful at all? beautiful playing again thank you.

Unfortunatally I haven't got as much theoritical knowledge as I would like to. My playing is rather intuational. I appreaciate your suggestion. It really has been helpful!
Thanks a lot.
