@deuxchem John Wayne had a health problem that kept him from going into the service, so he did the next best thing, he tried to uphold our service men and he tried to tell the stupid in the USA what we were fighting for. so read a little more before you try and bring down Big John.

@deuxchem The Duke was not a "draft dodger" as you put it. He was where the Government wanted him. He did far more for the war effort making movies that pushed for the sales of War Bonds than he ever could in uniform. he was a Patriot and the true definition of a man. If you can't handle that, sit in your corner and knit.
