How not to collaborate with a biostatistician. This is what happens when two people are speaking different research languages! My current workplace is nothing like this, but I think most biostatisticians have had some kind of similar experiences like this in the past!

@Tradd20 so true. I'm disappointed that the statistician didn't say "what final conclusion do you want the data to support so I can make it say that".
To which the scientist would have gladly provided an answer.

LOL. Researchers are dumb in a way. They spend all their time collecting high quality data, only to have fucked it up in the design phase or fuck it up in the analysis phase. You can't address every problem with a t-test, one way analysis of variance or excel regression.
