This animation is manually composed of about 250 separate weather radar images produced at 5 minute observation interval fetched from the Helsinki Testbed site (testbed.fmi.fi), a joint research project of Finnish Meteorological Institute and Vaisala.

The animation shows a rather small-scale cyclone passing over the Gulf of Finland from Estonia to Helsinki and further east along the Finnish coast on 2nd October 2008 between 00:00 and 22:00 GMT.

In addition to the weather radar rain echoes the temperature measurements are shown in the animation.
