Hero Worship: Fathom

Michael Turner came up with the idea for Fathom after reading an issue of National Geographic. He introduced her in 1998 and she was an almost instant hit. Her comic series has been honored several times, including the title of Number one selling comic series of the Year. She is at home in the water, and she looks terrific in her many swim suits. How could she miss?

What's the music used in this video? And what comic book company does these Fathom comic books? I can't recall ever having seen any of them. Very nice opening pics - was she actually shown in the comics topless - or is that just the way some photos look that fans have created?

Hi, GTidmore1. Fathom used to appear under the Top Cow and Aspen labels, but the artist, Michael Turner, died at a much too early age. She was very sexy and so was the work of her artist. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the music, but this was one of my early vids before I tarted listing the music. Oh, well. Cheers, John

I haven't read this in at least a decade, but I remember thinking back then that it would make a great movie. If I recall, besides water powers, she can also shoot blue lasers and fly?

Strange, there's a 1960s flick called Fathom with Raquel Welch. Might have helped out on inspiration :)
