A Press Conference in Reno, NV on Tuesday October 13th held by TRIP
(Founded in 1971) is a nonprofit organization that promotes transportation policies that relieve traffic congestion, improve road and bridge conditions, improve air quality, make highway travel safer and enhance economic productivity.
They Announced a report to try an inform Nevadans about transportation issues across the state, it was attended by Senator Bill Raggio of the Nevada State Senate, Assemblywoman Debbie Smith of the Nevada State Assembly, Director Susan Martinovich of the Nevada Department of Transportation, Carolyn Bonifas, Associate Director of Research and Communication TRIP.
The report, Future Mobility in Nevada: Meeting the States Need for Safe and Efficient Mobility, analyzes road and bridge conditions, traffic congestion, economic development and job creation, highway safety, and transportation funding in Nevada. TRIPs report contains lists of needed transportation projects that can not be addressed without additional transportation funding. TRIP is a national nonprofit transportation research group based in Washington, DC
