This is a universal anthem for vampires, and revisits the commonly accepted characteristics about vampirism. I've been more than a little confused about the transformations of old Nosferatu ever since I saw him in the silent film. But I was wiling to stretch my imagination for the Bela Legosi version, which I believe started the romance trend about Dracula. But now we have vampires in the movies and on TV walking around in the daylight, going to school, holding down a night job, talking and acting just like everyone else, but changing right before our eyes just when the spooky music starts. Like their eyes turn red or yellow or black (or maybe I have them mixed up with aliens from the X-Files?), creepy organic things popping out of their mouths, while they're now unfazed by either holy water, the Holy Cross or the Star of David (I particularly liked that one), or... the list goes on. Nosferatu was just a creepy, ugly old fart who sucked blood and had to get out of the sun or he'd burn to a cinder. No romance, no dialog, no charm...just consummate evil with an unholy appetite for human blood. This music video features a song with lyrics, and it's called "Morning Takes All Night", which to me says it all about vampirism. It's also a brazen advertisement for my medical art, an illustrative journey through internal human organic landscapes, which vampires don't care much about as long as live blood is running through it.
This is an amazing video Dan! I love the way you've incorporated your medical illustrations with your music. Very creative! Nice typography and transitions. Beautifully done!
