On Digital's on net advert

This I just recently found on a tape, so I thought I'd show it off!!! It's On Digital advertising the On Net service which was their internet on your TV service, and of course, it's a brilliant use of sound and text!!!

The OnNet box of the OnDigital receiver? Some areas in the UK are still covered with the "old" DVB-T standards, so the boxes will still work, but places like where I am have the newer standards, so pretty much all the On/ITV Digital boxes fell over and stopped receiving anything sadly... :(

The On-net box es are still working. The OnDigital receivers are a different matter; some of them (Nokia I think is one) are happy with the current transmissions, but the cheaper ones were weren't built to the full spec so won't work.

Mine's a Nokia box (9850T), and my mum has a refurbished one in silver, both work perfectly, but it's a shame they never put in a Programme guide.

Yeah I've got an ex ONdigital Philips box, bombproof they are, never let me down and the software is so much simpler. Shame they don't belong to anyone anymore to be updated, though Top Up TV did recently, nothing major however. There is also a website still operated by ITV Digital called ONdigital In Liquidation, which tells people how to get refunds.

Personally, I never had an OnNet box, all I have is the OnDigital box my dad got shortly after they became free, although I had looked at that address and was surprised to see it was still there after the ITV flop!!!
