Rich and the Poor Boys is a southern Ontario blues band featuring front man Rockin' Rich. Rich and the Poor Boys perform extensively in southern Ontario at festivals, street dances and beer halls..Rich and the Poor Boys are known for their great cast of musicians that make up the band. This original version of Rich and the Poor Boys has Gary Green on guitar, James Belardo on bass, Steve Franklin on drums. They are playing at Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC)in downtown Toronto at the Broadcast Center.Here they are playing a song originally written by Sonny Boy Williamson. The Poor Boys perform their own exciting version of this timeless blues classic.Gary Green's guitar work is nothing short of inspirational. It has shades of Albert King + Buddy Guy's great guitar work. Gary Green learned to play the guitar at the age of seven where he performed tirelessly on the linoleum. James Belardo's bass and Steve Franklin's drum work hold the band tightly together and the blues harp of Rockin Rich finds new ways to explore Sonny Boy Williamson and his great contribution to the blues. The Poor Boys have played with other great international blues bands including the Funk Brothers, Buddy Guy +Fabulous Thunderbirds with kim wilson.
