@RainmanPondBoss why not get rid of Mush Mouth and get a better female?? by the way,, what kind of gravel is that anyways?? :)

question: my tank has 20 fish in it. I am not 100% sure who the males are but I am starting to see that one larger one is on one side of the tank and the other larger one is on the other side of the tank and they keep all the other fish in the middle. It's like the two fish are territorial and snip at anyone that tries to come to their side so the 18 are stuck only in the middle and not free to swim anywhere cause of the aggressive ones in each "end zone." What is happening? Any idea?
can i get some fingerlings from you to start a breeding program for my aquaponics set up?

you shouldnt put gravel on the bottom,, thats why she cant get her eggs back in her mouth

@grandmastermicochero Actually, the gravel has nothing to do with it. It is the broken jaw she got as a fry. Gravel is the natural and preferred substrate tilapia spawn on. Another female laid her eggs and also picked up "Mush Mouth's" eggs just fine.

Rainman due to your generous help, and my no show on ordering some tilapia for you for now, I would like to ask how much you spend on fish food. If it is expensive you can look into aquaponics a primitive, kind using lemna minor (duckweed) instead of reg. plants since its low maintenance and can provide food for your fish. Same information goes for Aquarium enthusiast sick of buying expensive fish food ( limited to large fish and not small frys). Lemna minor can provides the same nutrition.

As a supplier of tilapia to Aquaponic enthusiasts and for algae control in ponds, I cannot risk introducing such an invasive plant to another persons water. Bio-security is of utmost importance as a supplier.
