Ali Farka Touré was a Songhai/Sonrai man, but he was born in Gouramatche and grew up in Niafunké, but regions have a lot of Fulani people inhabiting them. So Ali Farka Toure could speak Fulfude, Songhai, Tamasheq, Bambara, many languages actually, because of the diverse region he grew up in.

@ish1986ful Ali Farka not a Fulani, he could sing in Fulani language, he did not hate Fulani people, he loves us. A lot of his song in Fulani Maasinkooré dialect.

Hi kamatcho123! The song itself is in Fulde, but Ali Farka himself was Songhai/Sonrai. Sorry for the late reply :)

Heya bonzi16! Thanks for the comment. Due to his large fan-base in the West, most of Ali Farka Toure's albums can be found at music outlets in the UK and US. I remember finding this very album (Red&Green) at one of those large music stores (I think it was Zavvi/HMV) in the 'World Music' section. You could also buy and download them from the iTunes Store and other places online :)
