A short slide show comprised of photographs of the Frontier Brigade Band participating in the 2003 National Civil War Band Festival, set to the band's live Festival recording of "Shenandoah". The 32 member Frontier Brigade Band celebrates the Mid-Nineteenth Century American Brass Band Movement by dressing in authentic uniforms of the period, and by utilizing period and reproduction musical instruments. The band's repertoire encompasses historic musical arrangements from the 1840s through 1916, including original surviving pieces from the Regimental, Brigade, and Civilian band books of the American Civil War era, and music played by Buffalo Bill's Wild West Cowboy Band, 1882-1916.
