@PlanktonPoker I think when he uses the word objectively in this context he is expressing his earnest attempt to distance himself from his own subjectivity i.e. his personal love of the instrument.

Oh I understand it already! This quote has been on my mind for a day,I finally got it. He meant that he considered the guitar as an 'object itself' before stating his opinion about it. He is a genius!

Those are some beautiful words said at the beginning of the video. But can someone please explain them to me? It asserts a contradiction: "I consider the guitar objectively", the word 'objectively' suggest that he is to represent a statement which is not influenced by personal feelings or opinions. However, what he says next is at variance with the latter quote. I'm sorry, English is not my arterial language and I'm only 15. I'm just curious what Segovia meant, as it really puzzles me. Help?
