Too bad that many people today have lost contact and tend to forget the atmosphere back in the 80's and the fact that Queen pretty much was a symbol of that atmosphere, an expression of sheer enthusiasm, flamboyance, joy of living life to the fullest.

And it's even worse since in the present there simply isn't much to balance and compensate for the lost spirit of the 80's... there's a lot of struggle but still no real "giants". And that's just too bad.

I couldn't agree more ~ and with the popularity of American Idol the next generation will be void of the depth and soul of a great band.

How sad it is for all of us ~ I do hope that nurturing artistic expression comes back in style again someday !

dude, dont worry, Queen are still huge today, just look at how many hits they get on youtube and their albums and dvds are often in the charts, a lot more so than many of their contempories!!
