My Animation "African Skies"

A short 2D animated piece that I finished at University last year 2005. I even went out to Africa(myplace of birth) for sound recording and research during production. Helped me graduate with flying colours. This is definately one of the most memorable things that I have done.

I really stressed out about it initially, as I didn't have time to go through all the frames on photoshop. I had a deadline. Surprisingly, my tutors liked it! They said that my drawing style is rough and sketchy throughout, so the whole look seems to work. As far as I can see it, this animation kinda had 'happy accident', and if nothing else, I've learnt from it. Since then, I've moved on to do more things in computer animation.

nice work! i only wish the layering was... thicker... more distinct. i mean the action layers were translucent for the most part, and it was distracting. dunno if there was anything you could do about that though o.o
