  • @jimmyg141 i think [just to butt in , i havent read everything ] it just has to be left p to wht you think cus

i thought tyson would destroy tillis, sumtimes style matchups can be specific and he also fought spinks, and razor ruddock but yeah

  • only a gun could stop HIM...

  • Sonny "the beast" Liston

  • @fadethetrade as exciting as Tyson was in that period, he never faced anyone of the quality of the name's you mentioned. Ok, Larry Holmes perhaps but Holmes was well past his prime and had come out of retirement. Certainly Ali/Clay, Liston and Foreman would have beaten an 87 Tyson. It's easy to look good when your opponents aren't up to the caliber of the legends you speak of. Yes, some were good fighters, very good fighters even, but not great, except the past his prime Holmes.

  • @coxscorner Yeah, someone else turned me onto that article last week and I checked it out, but no one in there said they considered Listen the greatest, their language was that he was 'one of the greatest', which falls short of what I am looking for. Thanks though.

  • @MrPerryrice Charles Farrell is one. He has an article "The Case For Sonny Liston." you can read it on my website in the archives-heavyweight history section or perhaps google it.

  • fadethetrade must b the biggest dumbest dope of all time.....

  • @Ricky42791 I am in search of a boxing expert who commented that he thought Sonny Liston was the greatest heavyweight at some time of Liston's career. Can you help me? I have heard it stated in a documentary or a book somewhere but cannot find it now. I need it to prove a point that Liston was considered by some as the greatest heavyweight when he fought Ali (Clay). Please help if you can.

  • @fadethetrade - As I said before Sonny knocks out Holyfield and Tyson within 3 rounds.
