@mike29571 There is not nearly enough arable land on the earth to supply food for the current human population much less the projected population, if we are to stick with traditional farming methods.

But fuck GMO to the maxx, agreed

calm your self master veggi. use aact (compost tea) and add in benificial microbes, no ecoli has ever been reported in hydro like this, dont hate, educate!

@MasterVeggie Hmm fascinating. Id like to see some publicly verifiable evidence as to whre you get your hypothesis. Exceptional claims require exceptional evidence. I prefer not to listen to your alarmist comments and instead go to the cource material from experts.

@mike29571 amen to non gmo! most people think gmos will save the world, but of course, gmos don't actually give a larger amount than a conventional farm, the actual intention of a gmo company is to be in control of all the food, so that they get all the money. although people think the kids in africa won't be hungry, gmo is the reason they are.

@MasterVeggie Botulinum is an oblegate anerobe. That means that it cannot survive in an oxygen rich environment. So no risk from that. As for Salmonella and E.coli; well I guess you know more about epidemiology than the people actually working in the field so, you're probably right...

If we care about the envirionment and the future of humanity we have to evolve beyond money. The Venus Project has some good ideas.

"Not to mention it creates NO topsoil."
Well it doesn't destroy it. Most current farming does. Let Big Ag have their "crop towers" then you can have all the rest of the farmland and recreate the top soil.
Fascinating. It would interesting to see how this could be implemented on a large scale.

Good for a niche market, or a bunker, but the global solution is a return to traditional methods, promoting healthy, living soil and non-GMO crops.
