A film about one man's guilt that will forever haunt him in his Maladaptive daydream. The narrative is very uncommon as a daydream is. The use of flashbacks of a door and the hand on the window are both representations of the same thing. Shot in black and white to show its dark side. This film is puzzling and gives many questions to viewers. Hope you enjoy

  • I see what you were doing with leaving it open ended for the audience to discern their own explanation but I felt there wasn't enough grounded plot to even make it cohesive. Hard to make sense of it.

On the flip side I have to say that maladaptive daydreaming is a lot like that. You captured its essence so well with the chronology of the scenes and the very personal camera angles. I feel just like that, slipping into that world without realizing it when listening to music. So surreal.

  • @DamienZshadow Thanks for your comment. The film goes against the norms of narrative construction as the world of cinema is so used to following a narrative that is easy to follow. You were right to point out that a maladaptive daydream is a lot like that & I know it might be hard to make sense of. But I believe that leaving your audience to question it, is a puzzle for them to solve. I could of made it much more simply for them to follow however chosen not to. Daydream-Guilt-Reality

  • Excellent.

  • @freest2dogg I know how you feel. It can seem like a horrifying curse sometimes. Like you're slowly slipping out of reality. Sometimes I fear I might go into a forced coma or something because I enjoy the daydream so much that I won't want to go back to reality. Still, it is a huge source of inspiration for my artwork and allows me to re-experience the beauties of this world in majestic splendor. At times I am ashamed by my apparent immature hand motions but others I am captivated by it.

  • @DamienZshadow I think i have maladaptive daydream. Its been going on ever since i was a kid. But for 6 years i started daydreaming on one subject only. Its frustrating seing the world change while i feel left behind.

  • @DavidDineley Yes, I definitely get that much. I can't tell you how many times a horrific scenario passes through my mind during a mundane event. It really can haunt you and if anything you certainly did capture that.

  • Brooding!
