A quick battle from Uncharted Waters 2: New Horizons for the SNES. The game is very robust and you can explore for days, or trade, or fight pirates.
Here I am fighting John Davis, who's one of the easier pirates, as he has a merchant fleet(?) rather than a battle fleet. The harder pirates can eliminate your whole crew in one-two rounds. Win the battle by killing the opposing team's commodore in a duel, kill all of the sailors aboard the flagship, or sink the flagship with cannonballs.

  • can anyone tell me how to save the file on the game????

  • To save, press Select when at sea or in town, and then go to the Save option.

  • i finished this game with that guy from england and catalina at first cuz i like to fight more than sail around the whole world.its not that hard if u have special items equipped which can be bought @2am at some ports.the hardest battle is with that pirate who follows u everywhere cuz he got good swordskills

  • I find Otto's quest from England to be fairly difficult until you get enough money to buy a Venetian Galeass

  • This is my favorite game of all time. The music, replay value, fun in leveling, trading, and adventuring are all fun. It really pisses me off that KOEI has to suck so hard now and give us nothing but these crappy dynasty warriors 87 games. An mmorpg is out for this now but its not available in US. KOEI must hate America.

  • The SNES version is now available on the Wii Virtual Console :)

  • I still pick this game up again a couple times a year, and just go on marathons with it. I've passed each of the campaigns multiple times over the years. By far one of my top favorite games ever.

  • i spent hours on this just exploring, trading, and finding wonders. the open ended aspect is the best thing about the game. i'd like to see more games that offer a game experience like this; immersive and soothing.

although once you know about the athens/istanbul art and carpet trade route it's hard to ignore.

  • Man,in this game i had my fleet compromissedof only Venetian Galeass, with no cannons, and minimal space as possible in order to carry more loot, apart from the flagship, wich had no cannons and more space for crew than for loot, alog with the best sword and armor, all you need to do is atack anyone and they should die very easily. That's was exactaly how i've git more than 6 gold bars.

  • @xxEdwardTeachxx and europe!
