James was from the Hoosier state, the center of racing in the U.S. A lot of us Hoosier kids grew up watching dirt track races, they were everywhere when he was a kid. I'm not suprised he got involved given where he was from. My sister was born on the day he died, 1955, in Indiana. Doggone shame he died in that crash, people gather at his grave on the anniversy of his death. It's hard to believe he was only 24 and made such a lasting impact. Bet he and Dennis have been cuttin up lately.
