Tecnam P2006 at Festival of Flight, 2010

This is a seriously attractive little plane. From Tecnam in Italy, this P2006T had flown over from Auckland for a promotion tour of Australia. Here she is strutting her stuff at the Watts Bridge Festival of Flight 2010. I made the mistake of thinking that it was a Partenavia, but was soon put right. Incredibly quiet with the Rotax engines (the over sounds at the first flyby is from a Baron doing a missed approach. It does get busy at FoF.)

Nice vid! I wanted to get up there for that but was working. Those tecnams are nice aren't they. Like a smaller Partenavia and I believe they were penned by the same person. Not as impressed with the windows, especially the front side ones - a little small I think. Great performance I believe, especially since they burn about the same juice per hour as a 172. Cheers John
