I couldn't find ANY information on the Schwinn Loop when looking to buy an inexpensive folding bike. I took a gamble and bought one on the cheap and made this video so future folding bike shoppers can see what one can get for around $200. This video was done in one take without a script, so be kind. ;-)

  • what's your loop look like now? how much weight did you save?

  • @kenvsryu555 Not much. I used a lot of parts off my old road bike, but I didn't even shave a pound off. ;-)

  • hey jonnyGURU, what FSA crankset did you use? I need to replace the crankest on mine but it appears to be a 165mm crankset... does FSA make one? I'd love to see a follow up video if you get around to it!

  • @DanDeWitt I ended up with 180mm, but it hit the chainstays so I had to use a grinder to take some material off the crank.

  • when you say metra, are you in columbus? if so, how does this bike perform on the riverwalk, or in the street?

  • @benkaplan42 Metra in Chicagoland.

  • I just ordered one of these today,as well as a Citizen Miami yesterday. Thanks for the info,my friend, nice review. I thought it would be neat to have 2 folders, and to (finally) teach my Wife to ride a bike on one,as well as to compare a pair of similarly priced inexpensive models from different manufacturers by someone (me,LOL) who comes from a mtn biking background and recently (last Summer) moved to the city. I'll be doing write ups on my blog.

    PS: Thanks again :)

  • smart designers/engineer a few steel parts probly keeps cost down, only the rack has to use bungee cords or ? to hold items, Im going to buy one thanks for the info

  • Very nice. & appreciated My main use of this is unconventional. I have a little 'Pack Cat' raft 11ft. by 3 ft. ( I take down the Animas Dgo. Co.) which also has a set of wheels so I can push the boat back home rather than do a shuttle. It goes so smoothly I decided to get a folding bike for shuttle / price and rack decided it -for attaching my tow set up. I would have liked to see is some actual field use of your bike,..using something in the field is very telling. Again MUCH thanks! JF

  • what do you think about this folding bike the 80 £ one ?
