did u ever fix this issue i heard that if u remove the back cover of the imac and remove the ram and were the ram slots are u have to heat it u with a blow dryer but u have to move it around dont let in blow in one place

Actually..After doing research the 3 beeps means your iMac has no good banks (I don't know if it RAM or something else) but yeah that is your problem. So people who were referring to RAM may have been correct all this time.

Ok 2 things could be happening 1 there is a tiny school in your computer and there was a fire drill. Or 2 the Finder cursed at you

this is what the beeps mean:
• 1 beep = No RAM installed/detected
• 2 beeps = Incompatible RAM type installed
• 3 beeps = No RAM banks passed memory testing
• 4 beeps = No good boot images in the boot ROM
• 5 beeps = Bad ROM boot block or processor is not usable
