Should be running X-plane as the software..Insanely realistic helicopter flight characteristics, also going to have a very nice new R22 coming out for it.

Great 3D graphics, though they're pretty low definition compared to those on my X-Plane flight sim which, for much less money, runs nicely on my Mac Pro and gives me peripheral vision (which you seem to lack ) at the turn of a head using TrackIR, allows me a choice of dozens of different helos and hundreds of aeroplanes, and lets me sit here all day practising. Your major benefit is the availability of real controls and instruments, but …

@drahon45 because because it's cheaper and safer to start people training on simulators then the real thing. It's also usually a nice attraction at Air shows and other related events. Try looking up the prices for a rental and a one flight lesson. You will then appreciate Flight simulators a lot more.

the only thing I don't get is why would any idiot turn a actual helicopter into a simulator, when you already have the real thing?
