Tank Driving - FV432 1

Tank driving - 6 July 2008

I got a day's "tank driving" (strictly speaking off-road vehicles, an APC and a self-propelled gun, but who cares) at Galloway Tanks (www.gallowaytanks.co.uk) for my birthday. I'm slowly cutting together a more coherent video, but for now I'll just post the clips in their unedited form. Better is to come.

My first taste of driving that day (except the rather enjoyable Berliet 6x6 truck, which I unfortunately have no video of). Here I'm at the controls of the FV432 armoured personnel carrier, pulling out of the parking area. It, um, was a bit damp. Either way, that thing's fun. Really easy to drive, too.

One of these days I shall get myself a 432 or a 206. If nothing else, I could have used it when my Land Rover got bogged down in a paddock last week...
