Cyclocross Diaries #005 - Astoria Halloween Cross Crusade

I look forward to this race every year like a kid does Christmas. The fun factor is truly off the hook. If only it were a 3-day event (Brad Ross... take note). Just seems to go by too quick and I already find myself thinking about next year's costume and new shooting strategies. Before we go there though, let's revel in the joy that abounded this year. From the mid-barrier hockey fights, to the running with the bulls. We had Pop-tart hand-ups, super-secret kegs of Widmer and a group of dirty, dirty maids that kept us all "clean". Sadly - there were a few bad apples mixed in the bobbing tub this year, who found it necessary to spit beer and throw cans at the unlucky un-costumed. Let's hope they haven't spoiled the fun for next year. Thanks Cross Crusade for an epic event!
