I see some PWM involved in this since the camera's refresh rate is giving away the tiny pulses =p must be a pretty fast mcu to do the switching with the light sensing calculations in-between.

I really like this, may i request an explanation or copy of a circuit diagram, to better understand how it works?? i'll assume IR transistors are involved??  Thanks. -Joe

Let me guess. You flash the LEDs rapidly. When they are on they are on when they are off they sense the change in light?
