I've been seeing beautiful videos of French figher planes all over YouTube. Ah, the artist in the French soul! While Americans show their jets flying in tight formations, doing complicated manuevers (with rock music in the background) the French fly their planes gracefully through the clouds, sun in the background, weaving vapor trails in the sky.
Turns out it was all done for a French movie. But compare it to Top Gun and the contrast in style remains.

I did the same in a cessna 150. It's true, it takes much time to go high enough to reach the clouds, but rafting between the clouds is a really impressive sensation. It's just a little bit slow, I would love to do it on a jet. And over-the-top flying. It's rare to have a complete cloud covering here, so no VFR On-top :p.

I did some cloud surfing in a Cessna 152 - it's as much fun as to dive through the clouds. Just the climb back "on top" takes "a little" longer.
