Data Stewards Day is dedicated to the data management leaders who have a major impact on their companies but don't get enough recognition for the work they do. Some of them may actually bear the title of "data steward" while others may simply be known as the person who forms a data bridge between business and IT. The actual titles are unimportant -- a data steward is anyone who makes a difference in an organization by managing the information that drives the business forward.
