Amber Rae, creative catalyst and starter of meaningful things talks about the art of being unreasonable and how to astray from the mainstream and traditional cultural expectations.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

  • @scribescribbler I've met people in their 40s and 50s who still don't know what they want out of their lives - and on the flip side, met 20-somethings who are much more fulfilled, content, and "wise" about what's important in life. And of course there are all kinds of people in between. Just don't discount the message because of the messenger's age. "Life experience" (in years) doesn't always equate to wisdom and knowledge if that person hasn't truly lived. Just a thought!

  • Is she even 25-years-old? And adults are supposed to be coached by a 20-something on how to live life fulfilled? Her brain hasn’t even finished developing yet. Another fad.

  • @pmsorhaindo TED talks are about 20 minutes. He was probably keeping her updated on how much time she had left.

  • This is a rehash of the same idealistic--quit your job and live your passion, twenty-something, think-differently-marketing-yaya-zeitgeist of our age. After this meme became popular, so many "inspireds" started blogging about this tired idealogy. You're a magician playing the same trick night after night. Let's get another 20-something naive-never-done-nothing to interview mature, successful people and profit off of their stories. Get real.

  • Amazing stuff Amber and loved the two videos you showed us. Powerful message, thank you!!

  • There is a dude at the front chilling with a count down on his laptop :p Bored much?

  • Great job living what you presented and giving wonderfully illustrated examples of it in others.

  • Some holes here and there, but an overall inspiring talk.

  • great talk Amber! very inspiring

  • Brevity is bliss: wow.
