Matt Horwich vs. Ryan McGivern Round 1..

The bout opens with a frantic pace, as both men look for an advantage in the striking game. McGivern gets a body lock takedown and goes to work from Horwich's half-guard. They get back to their feet and McGivern lands a good right as Horwich responds with a kick to the body. They clinch again, both pummeling for position.

Horwich adds another hard kick to the body when they separate, and already a large welt has developed on McGivern's ribs. He seems to be landing the more effective punches, but as usual Horwich seems unfazed by them.
