A hungry frog-eating bat swoops down on its victim and carries it off for a meal. While many bats rely on echolocation to hunt prey, frog-eating bats find their prey using a keen sense of hearing. They listen to the mating calls of male frogs and, based on the sound, determine whether a given frog is poisonous or would be too large to carry.
