It absolutely breaks my heart that such a wonderful woman and singer died. I literally have never heard anyone say a bad word against Kirsty.
Here's to you Kirsty, you are sadly missed and I hope many more tributes and dedications come your way!

Call me a philistine but I never even knew it was first done by the Kinks in the 60's until last week. Maybe Kirsty did it so well it totally overshadowed the origional version. I remember this song as a massive classic from when I was small in the late 80's. It did have a fair impact on me then, what with her vocals and it being such a poignant reflective song. I think they used it on an advert or two here in the UK.

@ReverandPigeon Couldn't agree more with that

Not just justice ... she's a far better vocalist then Ray ... although few peps can make a tune like he can ... so in this case 1+1 is bigger then 2! :-)

Kirsty took this song from an average 60s hit and turned it into a total aout and out classic I think.

this song reminds me of my kitten

MASSIVE kinks fan, Does she do this justice or what?? Damn right! What a vocalist, what a sad loss to the world. This is when cover version were actually good. Never really taken much notice of KM but since i've seen this i've become a big fan, amazing voice, brilliant cover from a brilliant band, surely perfection?
