jk rowling herself stated that it could have gone either way...that hermione and harry had this chemistry,,but in the end harry and hemione chose to be with ginny and ron, and besides it made sense, who would had ron been with if harry and hermione were together, ginny,? surely not..but the fact is harry and hermione did have chemistry whether as brotherly sisterly chemistry or romantic..but it made sense for them to be who they are with now...

as for dan and emma...they should get together.lol

@a77lea Er, sorry, but I'm afraid they don't actually end up together. Just thought you should know now so you weren't let down. This scene where they're kissing is not really THEM kissing. It's a fake image (produced by an object that has a piece of Voldemort's soul in it) that was playing off of Ron's insecurities in order to wear down his emotional/physical health and make the trio fall apart. Lol, this explanation will make a LOT more sense when you read the 6th and 7th books. Trust me. XD
