In October 2005, Plan Australia Ambassador, Jamie Durie went on a personal journey to Uganda to meet with community members featured in the Plan Sweden documentary 'Don't Cry When I'm Gone'. Jamie's television special showcases Plan's work with communities responding to the impact of HIV and AIDS. It was televised in Australia on Channel 9 in 2006 and then rescreened on Seven Network in 2008.

Jamie meets school teacher Lydia and who shows him how children are learning about HIV and raising awareness.

He then meets Doreen, a child who is sick with TB (Tuberculosis) and AIDS, but with help, is fighting back.
