A short video of a possible scenario where physiological "dominos" fell, resulting in the death of Michael Jackson. Decreased breathing increases CO2, CO2 causes respiratory acidosis, this leads to disruption in potassium (hyperkalemia) and the hyperkalemia disrupts the conductive system of the heart. Clearly this is only a possible scenario intended to serve as a respectful teaching exercise for students in Anatomy and Physiology courses.

  • @jtl909 he had back pain from a fall from a very high place onto the stage. He also was suffering from an autoimmune disease.

  • What the hell was he being administered propofol for anyway? I thought they only administered that if you were suffering from severe acute pain in something like a post-op scenario. Hence the crooked doctor, I suppose.

  • What an awesome example of bringing all the steps together! It really helped my perspective of how hyperkalemia affects the body. Thank you so much!

  • Nice job DJ! It was a nice review of how all the systems are linked before the final tomorrow too. --KJoseph
