went off-roading on a trail in NH. we got stuck right at the end of this video, if we'd kept the engine going we probably could've gotten out!

  • Nice video! I was just out in my baja bug, going through some puddles, and got into one that was deeper than anticipated too, so I know how easy it is to get stuck in something like that one you hit.

  • @sillylittlegoth

Is it just the camera or is your beetle really that noisy? Unbelievable for 1600ccm. Sounds like a massive V8 blowing right out under the hood ^^ But i remember how my Supra (MK3) sounded when i was driving home one night and my catalyzer broke out of the exhaust piping. Sounded like a tank and i must confess i was a bit scared to go any faster than 50mph til i was home :D

  • @DJMadMax It's a 1600cc, probably originally from a '69, the case was bored to accommodate larger pistons, but I'm not sure what size they are (I am guessing around 88mm). The muffler was pretty simple, not stock, not sure what type. Sorry the engine work was done largely by a former friend so he knows most of the details, not me =P
