the length of my upper pipe changed also, it is now shorter than the lower pipe, it was of equal size before.

If you would have put Chrome tips, i think i would have been 100% Happy. Can that be done? Would it change the sound?

Thanks for the info, i guess i will just get used to it. Like i said, i am happy with the sound, and that is the main thing i suppose, ( those tips though??) Thanks guys.

Recieved my pipes Tuesday, the sound is very good as they said it would be....I was not impressed with the "cosmetic" finish. I sent all chrome pipes and got back Black tips on the end. ( no chrome tips??) The finished product needs to be done a little better, i was not happy with the "craftmanship". spots the size of a dime from weld marks on my chrome... good sound, bad craftmanship.

Sent my exhaust in last tuesday.... waiting to get them back.... I am hoping to be very happy with the final result....i think i will be... later.

I like it, plan on calling you guys in the next week. I have listened to so many pipes, watched holes drilled in the pipe, baffles removed... I think i will go with your way. thanks.

@MrMannyvillegas The problem is the cost in relationship to the number of pipes. I'm pretty sure we could come up with a pressed or formed cover for the tip that could be chromed but the cost would require we sell more pipes than Honda probably produced. We empty the factory baffling from the pipe and replace it with the exit pipe you see at the end. It has a bell shape on the inside and starts about 12" from the back of the pipe.

Sorry about that Manny, we're in the process of posting pics of your particular pipe on the website. The chrome is not removable and that requires a weld and paint on the end. The chrome will blue where plug welds are drilled and rewelded so they must be painted. All the other VTX models have removable chrome so appearance stays exactly the same.
