This is the prelude to Wring Out the Ground (Loosely Now) on Egg's album The Civil Surface. Very interesting harmonies and dynamics. It reminds me of 50's television scores. It is one of the most interesting pieces of music I have ever heard.
I e-mail Dirk/Mont Campbell about the inspiration of this piece and he told me it stemmed from Igor Stravinsky's Symphonies of Wind Instruments. You can hear the influence but Prelude is heavily unique. Enjoy. I do not own the rights to the art or the music. (Art is done by Samuli Heimonen)
Oh what a wonderful tune!

For me, it's a shoreline against a light green sky.

Agreed. This is a wonderfully mysterious piece of music. For me it conjures imagery of tiptoeing through an old deserted English manor house just near dusk... not quite sure of what you will find.
