So anyway, I'm highly interested in the progress of the XBL/PSN fighter Skullgirls as it approaches opening day, but I was irritated by the inappropriateness of the music Konami's advertising people slapped on the original trailer -- as the developers themselves have pointed out, it wasn't exactly era-appropriate and didn't fit in with the subsequent trailers which included actual music from the game.
So what I did here was take footage from the launch trailer, pad it out with more recent clips, and add in some music that I thought was, in fact, TERRIBLY appropriate for the retro Dark Deco setting of the game. I might have put a little more effort into it, but since I don't actually work for the company, what would be the point?
Find out more about the music I used here: watch?v=5vX-zXI39F8
While it does fit the image of the game it doesn't quite fit the feel of the trailer. It makes it seem more comedic than action-oriented. I do like it though - make no mistake - but I already know about the game's style.
Maybe a Jazz piece with a little more "flair" or "spice" would fit better? Just trying some constructive criticism.
Thanks for the upload.

@xjxm Sure. Your words are much appreciated, although I really don't see how portraying this game as slightly comedic (as opposed to action-oriented) really hurts it. When I heard this tune I IMMEDIATELY thought Skullgirls; it had a kind of dark, ominous yet slightly wacky vibe -- and judging by everything the developers on this game have said & done, that seems to be exactly what they're aiming for... sort of farcical, creepy, and thirties/forties retro all at the same time.

Nice work, love the music. I've already shown this 'trailer' to a couple of friends; it worked! They're now intrigued.
