Do you use Freecycle.mpg

I wanted to make a video mainly about Freecycling. This is where when you want to get rid of things instead of filling up a landfill you ask if anyone would/could use the items you are offering. Freecycle groups can be found in Yahoo Groups in your area.

I've never used freecycle, but know about it. I think it is a very handy way of others being able to get things they need, while you get rid of stuff you don't need.

@silverscreamgrl When I have reached the point of not "loving" some of my stuff and it's packed away, I have used freecycle to give it to someone else. If no one wants it or they just don't show up like they say they will then I donate it.

Yeah I have used freecycle before many times! We also list things in the free section on craiglist, also been known to do "curb alert" -- and usually the items are gone within a couple hours.

@Jinxie228 I usually take the stuff to the Salvatation Army if the people who 1st wanted it don't show up. there was such a response for the stuff that if the 1st party does not show up I can always ask next in line and then Salvatation Army.

I'VE HEARD OF FREECYCLE BUT I PREFER TO MAKE A PILE OF DONATIONS AND HAVE SALVATION ARMY PICK IT ALL UP. I'M WORKING ON A PILE OF BOOKS TO GO RIGHT NOW.

@KATTRACK51 That can work also. I have done that when people from freecycle don't show up when they say they will. I take it to the Salvatation Army.

I had a dissapointing experience on freecycle and refuse to use it now! Not keen on it, it is too complicated a site for such a basic idea.

I have never heard of it.. When I get ready to get rid of stuff, like clothes especially, I just call one of the charities and they come pick it up! :))

I have used freecycle before.I have given things away in the past.There is always Purple Heart.
