I am hoping that you can enjoy the video even though the groaning drum stool that I am sitting on is distracting. This jazz standard was written as the theme song of the movie," The Americanization of Emily" with James Garner and Julie Andrews. The novel, from which this movie was produced, was written by William Bradford Huie after WWll.

  • Your a fine piano player, but this song begs to be treated a little more legato and slower at the head. You blasted through the opening melody with no regard to the singing character of the song at all. Great solo piano bar rendition I guess.

  • Great songs lend themselves to be interpreted in many different ways. This is how I improvised it at this moment in time, I don't do arrangements, so every performance is different. Such is the nature of jazz interpretation. I don't envision this cut as tame enough for a typical piano bar.....

  • This is fantastic! It's definitely encouraging to see one song played with so many variations! I hope you don't mind if i transcribe some of this arrangement.

  • Don't mind at all......I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • very nice indeed, you play like a metronome too, I have just used your video, as an MP3, in my recording studio software, to play bass along (and recorded it), very good version indeed to practice to !... thanks !..

  • i really like the playing man but im gonna have to go with 32251 on this one. The meaning of this song is sweet, and personally i think it needs more dynamics of the soft nature.

  • OH YEEEEEEAH!..

  • Superb!!

  • amazing

  • hi there....:)

    wow....i really enjoy ur playing....

btw...could u plz tell me where i can get the piano music score for this song?

  • Indeed great an interpretation. Bravissimo.

I'm baffled by these online anonymous experts who probably can play Frere Jacques up to "Dormez vous" only.
