So, I decided to make a movie, which contains every step of composition of the song "Just like That" by ABBA. The first part is the version called "Slow Version". The second part( with a different Intro) is the "Na, Na ,Na Version". The third part is the last version of ABBA and is called "Sax-Version". All these Songs were recorded in 1982. The fourth has another chorus, this song`s called "When the waves roll out to sea" and has been recorded in 1983. The Fifth part is a Chess demo sung by Elain Paige. This version contains another verse.
The sixt part is the finall version of "Just like that" sung by Gemini in 1985. In the oppinion of Benny and Bjorn is this the final and best version, but i think, the ABBA Versions are bettter. Hopefully they will release the song. ( The quality isn`t good, because these songs are just Demos) Enjoy....
I find both versions perfect. More to the point, I find them entirely different songs, as the lyrics are so drastically different, so Bjorn is pig-headed and unfair not to give us what we want, the git! After all, he released 'Happy Hawaii' which is supposed to resemble an "Arrival" album track somewhat. Everything on the Gemini debut, including the left-off 'When I Close My Eyes' & an 1985 b-side 'Copy Love' were all magnificent, especially 'Slowly' which is, sorry Frids, way better than hers.

I personally never been a fan of the Gemini version .... although I respect the fact that Benny and Bjorn consider it to be the definitive version of it. I felt their recording of Frida's Slowly was far better than this. Too obscure and depressive for a song that had a more melancolic yet joyful in the ABBA recording. Now what ended being remarkable is the piano demo of When The Waves Roll To The Sea: it made the verses even more beautiful.

Almost complete. Björn and Benny considers the compositions making out 'Just like That' to be released already: Gemini's version from 1985 got the choruses from ABBAs demo, and the version named 'When The Waves Roll Out To Sea' was used beautifully in the swedish staging of Chess in 2002 as 'Glöm Mig Om Du Kan'. The melody lines have been shifted around, and found their final places in finished and recorded and released definite versions.

If you add "If The Stars Are In The Sky" a demo by by Tommy Körberg, the story is complete.
Great video!

Written by Benny Anderson and Bjorn Ulvaeus. Unreleased by them, it was rewritten into two different songs for the musical chess, with at least three demos recorded by Elaine Paige and Tommy Korberg during 1983/4
Unused in Chess, it was slightly re-written again and recorded by 'Gemini' in 1985. Finally in 1996 it was recorded by the Webb. (you missed that step out)
