@jigsaw80puppet Nice! Sounds like you guys had a kickass time. I'm working on getting a new band together. Got my drummer, now just need a kickass bass player and guitarist to complete it.

Me and my band did a cover of this song live, and fuck it was fun to play. Amazing cover dude, one of the greats i'd say!

hey man, great playing, might I ask what gear you use? :)

@cammense Thanks Brutha. Yeah, no worries. I'm using my trusty and beloved Gibson Les Paul Standard circa 98' straight into a Vox VT50 modeling amp. I think I'm on the UK 80's setting for this song with a bit of reverb.

@pwyndam nice! I'm thinking I might get a gibson soon, do they play as well as they sound?

@cammense In my opinion yes, however, I have had my Les Paul since 98' and that's been my only electric all these years so I'm well accustomed to it. The first thing I did was lowered the string height as they tend to run high off the shelf. You'd be well served to take it to a shop and have them dial it in low action, but not too low where you get alot of buzzing et. It does the job for most part. For hyper shred, I'd recommend a shred guitar. I need one, a strat and I want a Gretch Setzer.

@pwyndam for shredders I wouldn't go near a B.C.Rich if I were you, strings have a tendency to die when you play anything that involves alot of movement, I'd go ESP for shred, what I play is Washburn HB-30 and it plays beautifully, if I were suggesting a semi-acoustic for someone with only about £500 to spare I'd choose that over any other, it plays fantastic punk/rock/classical/folk/classic rock even metal to a certain extent, mod guitar is by far the most fun on her though

@cammense ESP Kirk Hammet neck thru body would be nice for the shred guitar. A Setzer or Reverend Horton Heat Gretch for the rockabilly. Nice custom strat as well and then my collection would be pretty much covering all bases.
