This move on the Pole Exercise site

Difficulty: Intermediate

The Gemini is a dramatic pose and stretch that's relatively easy to perform as you keep your body against the pole throughout the move. If you've mastered the basic invert, there are just a couple of extra steps to get into the Gemini.

"Hey! That's the Scorpio, not the Gemini! Fool!"

Yes, yes it is. When I recorded this, I called both versions of the move (opposite leg and arm hooked and same leg and arm hooked) the Gemini. Now I'd probably refer to this one the Scorpio. So sorry for the name confusion, though they're not actually *that different*, are they?

And there's no need to be rude. :)

  • I call that one the scorpio, and using the opposite leg is what I call the Gemini :) Do you just reverse it? or do you have a completely different name for what I call the gemini? Just curious :)

  • No, you're right. When I recorded this, we used to refer to both versions of the move as the Gemini. These days I'd call this one the Scorpio. Sorry for the name confusion - if I could go back in time and get Libby to say 'Scorpio', I would. :) I've added a note to the info box.
